🛠️ What You’ll Need
- Thermal paste (LK-17 Available at Shop Bitcoin Australia)
- Isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher)
- Lint-free cloth or cotton swabs
- Small screwdriver
- Optional: thermal paste spatula
🔧 Instructions

Power Down & Cool

- Turn off and unplug the Bitaxe Gamma.
- Allow it to fully cool before proceeding.

Remove the Heatsink/Radiator & Fan
- Carefully detach the fan and heatsink.

Disconnect the fan cable if needed.

Clean the Surfaces
- Wipe away old thermal paste from the ASIC chip and heatsink using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth or swab.
- Ensure both surfaces are clean and dry.

Apply New Thermal Paste
- Place a small pea-sized amount in the centre of the ASIC chip, the size of a long-grain piece of rice will work fine.
- You may optionally spread it evenly using a spatula or let the heatsink pressure distribute it. See what you're comfortable with given the amount of paste you use.

Reattach Heatsink and Fan
- Gently place the heatsink back, aligning it properly.
- Mount it in with even pressure.
- Reconnect the fan cable.

Power On and Check
- Plug in and power on the unit.
- Monitor temperature to ensure effective heat transfer.
